The Michigan Working Families Party Joins the Protect MI Families Coalition

May 10, 20261 min read

Protect MI Families is excited to announce our next coalition partner, the Michigan chapter of the Working Families Party.

The Working Families Party is a grassroots-run political party that prepares the next generation of working class leaders to run for office through recruitment and training programs. They endorse key candidates fighting for working class Americans across the country, including many in Michigan who have taken their Working Families Guarantee. The guarantee prioritizes affordable housing, accessible healthcare, job availability, low-cost childcare, and paid family and medical leave, centering the need for an inclusive future and the fact that billionaires and corporations have consistently stolen resources from the working class.

With their commitment to tax the rich and get money out of politics, alongside our commitment to holding corporations accountable for exploiting consumers, the Michigan Working Families Party and Protect MI Families are eager to work together and create a Michigan that includes all of us, not just the top 1%. We look forward to working with the Working Families Party to elevate consumer protection as a prominent issue in Michigan that all consumers should be widely aware of and ready to fight for.
